🇬🇧 Luxembourg, 14th of November 2019- Following an invitation from the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Health Etienne Schneider, a delegation of ALEM took part in a meeting on Thursday the 14th of November at the Ministery of Health. The goal of the meeting was to discuss about the alarming results of a recent study of the, to talk about the future of medical Education in Luxembourg and the expectations of the next generation of doctors.

During the meeting, we also presented to the Minister and his staff the preliminary results of a survey ALEM are currently doing among medical Students and Junior Doctors. The survey addresses multiple important points such as what points are important for them in order to exercise in Luxembourg, their opinion about how medical Education should look like nowadays etc.. The preliminary results have been received very positively, but the Ministery as there has not been any Data on those topics before.

At the End of the Meeting it was decided to have regular exchanges in the future in order to assure that our Members will always have the most up-to-date information about the healthcare sector and their opportunities in Luxembourg. Further discussions will also address the issue of how making it more attractive for future doctors to come back to Luxembourg to exercise their job.
